Square Bear is Steve Worswick from Goole, East Yorkshire, England. He has been making dance/trance music for 4 years.
Artists such as Paul Van Dyk, Sash, Mauro Picotto and ATB influence him and his tracks are full of filtered synths similar to the style of “Castles In The Sky” by Ian Van Dahl. His music is featured on a jukebox in his hometown of Goole as well as being played in “The Lowther”, a local nightclub. He has reached number 1 in the progressive trance charts at mp3.com with “Visions” and number 9 with “Rainbow Chaser”.
Further afield, he is played on a real world radio station, BMU91.6FM in Botryka, Stockholm, Sweden with approx. 100,000 listeners.
He appears on a compilation CD in France, “Best of Beats Vol. 4” alongside ATB, Ian Van Dahl and Timo Maas.
Recently, his music has been played at Kazantip, Ukraine and Ibiza by DJ Tom Kallen. Kazantip attracts 100,000 – 300,000 people and is equivalent to Ibiza for Russians.
The track “Summer Goes”, has been released on a compilation CD in Ukraine after receiving a warm welcome by the crowds at Kazantip. The CD is entitled “Electronic Masters 2002”
His most recent success is making a track using eJay software ("The TranceMission") and having it featured on the Dance eJay 5 promo CD.
