Where was it that I read a couple of days ago that a Viet Nam war veteran said "I really slept better at night in Viet Nam knowing Bush was in the National Guard protecting Texas". Of course he was saying it facetiously.

It was for Channel 4, one of the terrestial tv stations over here in the UK. I havent seen it on TV yet, but they've aired other ones with exactly the same people on it.

aye, definately. Channel 4 is shite now though. Used to be so good, but its wrapped up in the ratings war and reality tv now.

yeah its all watching people have haircuts, z-lists defying history by appearing in i luv 1970 yet also i luv 1990 and putrid re-runs of when-celebrity-holiday-makeovers-go-wrong-vol 17.....

lol! that phrase has a unique meaning for me in that my mate larry got caught flogging the bishop in RE at school....and ever since we used the phrase 'as happy as larry' to mean just that!
